ON
THE METHOD OF ROUNDING AMOUNTS OF IMPORT DUTY, ADMINISTRATIVE FINES, INTEREST AND TAX WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF IMPORTS

THE MINISTER OF FINANCE,

Considering :

that with the enforcement of Law No. 10/1995 on customs affairs, it is deemed necessary to determine the method of rounding amounts of import duty, administrative fines, interest and tax within the framework of im.ports, in a decree of the Minister of Finance.

Referring to :

• 1. The East Indies Accounting Law (Statute Book of 1925 No.448) as already amended and supplemented the latest by Law No.9/1968 (Statute Book of 1968 No.53);
• 2. Law No. 10/1995 on customs affairs (Statute Book of 1995 No.75, Supplement to Statute Book No.3612);
• 3. Law No.6/1983 on general tax provisions and procedures (Statute Book of 1983 No.49, Supplement to Statute Bo No.3262) as already amended and supplemented the latest by Law No.9/1994 (Statute Book of 1994 No.59, Supplement to Statute Book No.3566);
• 4. The Decree of the Minister of Finance No.232/KMK.05/1996 dated April 1, 1996 on the method of payment and remittance of import duty, excise, administrative fines, interest and tax within the framework of imports.

DECIDES:

To Stipulate :

THE DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE CONCERNING THE METHOD OF ROUNDING AMOUNTS OF IMPORT DUTY, ADMINISTRATIVE FINES, INTEREST AND TAX WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF IMPORTS.

Article 1

The amounts of import duty, administrative fines, interest and tax within the framework of imports which are due shall be rounded in order to become whole rupiah figures.

Article 2

The rounding of rupiah amounts as meant in Article 1 shall be done by dropping parts of rupiahs in order to become whole rupiah sums.

Article 3

With the enforcement of this decree, all provisions in contradiction to this decree shall be declared null and void.

Article 4

Technical provisions required for the implementation of this decree shall be further stipulated by the Director General of Customs and Excise.

Article 5

This decree shall come into force as from October 1, 1996.

For public cognizance, this decree shall be announced by publishing it in the State Gazette of the Repub.lic of Indonesia.
